Inside Flexo: Chapter 04: Modifying Cleaning Procedures and Technology
Chapter Abstract: This is clip 4 of 5 for this video. Changing cleanup methods can add to the bottom line. The goal is to reduce downtime, cut waste and use fewer solvents. Run similar colors in the same station or run lighter jobs before darker jobs to reduce the number of press cleanups. Reuse solvent in a multi-stage cleaning rotation. Anilox roll cleaning can be more efficient by using closed systems using dry ice or similar systems. These systems do a better job cleaning the roll and are faster, so the press is down for a shorter amount of time.
