WRATT IV Promote Landfill Alternatives Now: Solutions for Industrial Solid Waste: Chapter 18: Case Study - Jack Daniels - Overview
Chapter Abstract: This is clip 18 of 26 for this video. Jack Daniels distillery had run into a problem with high moisture wood being used in their boilers. They began to look for a dryer wood source. They discovered that wooden palettes were being taken to the landfill every day. They started partnerships with a number of industries to load their waste palettes onto a Jack Daniels truck rather than taking it to the landfill. This project boosted their bottom line, reduced the amount of waste being taken to the landfill, and reduced the amount of emissions they were producing with high moisture woods.
