Chapter Abstract: This is clip 26 of 26 for this video. All states have had to deal with the problem of waste tires. The first goal was to reduce the space tires took up in a landfill. A new kind of shredding system had to be developed. Tire derived fuel is purer that other waste fuels. The ash and emissions are the same as burning oil. One facility could easily reduce the amount of tires going to the landfill.
