An Ounce of Prevention - The Advantages of Reducing Waste: Chapter 05: Case Study: Leonhardt Plating Co.
Chapter Abstract: This is clip 5 of 9 for this video. Leonhardt Plating Co. was led into a crash course of pollution prevention by an unexpected ultimatum from their insurance company. They had great success with their initial attempts that prompted them to explore other waste reduction avenues. The vapor degreaser was eliminated, so they worked with their vendors to reduce the amount of oil used on their parts to reduce the need to clean them. One of the biggest changes made was the elimination of all cyanide used in the plant.
