Preventing Pollution at Your Auto Repair Facilities - Part 05, Oil and Antifreeze: Chapter 01: Rerefined Oil
Chapter Abstract: Part 5 of 6 for this series, clip 1 of 2 for this part. Used motor oil comprises a significant portion of hazardous waste generated at vehicle repair facilities. Almost half of the oil that is recycled is burned as fuel. This has a bad effect on air quality. Rerefining oils will remove contaminants that will allow the oil to be reused. Rerefined oil is every bit as reliable as virgin oil.
