EPA hazardous air pollution regulations will be promulgated for 70 previously unregulated area source categories by June 15, 2009. Currently 16 of the 70 categories are already subject to standards. These are listed below in Table 1. The first three area sources categories that P2RX is focusing P2 resource development on are:
These were selected to begin with since they are prevalent in all regions of the U.S. and they are good candidates to benefit from P2 strategies to achieve compliance with the expected regulation. P2 information for additional area source categories will be added as it becomes available.
