2. Center for Energy and Environmental Education - University of Northern Iowa
Center for Energy & Environmental Education is an outreach arm of the University of Northern Iowa. We work to empower Iowans with knowledge, tools, and inspiration for building a sustainable and desirable future for our communities. From know-how to do-now, the key areas of our work include energy conservation and energy education, building a strong local food economy, waste reduction, and sustainability education. 3. Center for Global and Regional Environmental Research (CGRER) - University of Iowa
CGRER promotes interdisciplinary efforts that focus on the multiple aspects of global environmental change, including the regional effects on natural ecosystems, environments, and resources, and on human health, culture and social systems. Center membership is composed of interested faculty members at any of Iowa's colleges and universities. Currently there are 50+ CGRER members.

4. Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation
The Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation is a member-supported nonprofit organization that builds partnerships and educates Iowans to protect, preserve and enhance Iowa's natural resources for future generations. 5. Iowa Renewable Energy Association (I-RENEW)
Iowa Renewable Energy Association is a non-profit organization promoting the use of renewable energy and energy conservation in Iowa's homes, farms, and schools. Since 1992, I-RENEW has sponsored educational programs on alternative energy and helped disseminate existing knowledge about renewable and energy efficiency throughout the state. By sponsoring hands-on alternative energy workshops and working with other grass-roots organizations, I-RENEW is helping to make renewable energy a reality for all Iowans.
